Glitch Art Introduction

Glitch art emerges from moments when technological systems fail, misbehave, or are pushed beyond their intended use. Rooted in both analog signal manipulation and digital corruption, it treats error as a physical and material event. Distorted signals, broken data, and unstable hardware become tools rather than problems. The work reveals the fragility and unpredictability of media systems. In doing so, glitch art makes the invisible mechanics of technology visible.

Why is it so hard to create authentic effects?

You know how you can imitate effects on After Effects? Now this is something completely different. Analog glitch art is a demanding, hands-on practice that relies on modified analog hardware and unstable signal paths. Creating these effects requires sourcing, altering, and physically wiring equipment that was never designed to behave this way. Each setup must be tuned manually, often through trial and error. Because the process is fully analog, settings cannot be saved or recalled. Every result exists only in the moment it is created. Please watch the video below.
